Get to know DeCoders
DeCoders is a student community based in Siddaganga Institute Of Technology, Tumakuru focussed on conducting various programming events and mentoring students to achieve excellence in various fields of Computer Science and Technology. We at DeCoders conduct events which aim to help the students to imbibe themselves with technical as well as intrapersonal skills enabling students to collaborate, exchange ideas, work together and solve real-life problems. We are a team of technical geeks and programming freaks who strive to discover the underlying layers of coding and the fun within it.

The club operates on the primary principle of mentorship where the senior members of the club individually mentor juniors and the club as such acts as a community where each one helps the other one out. The students take part in conducting technical events to encourage others to learn and grow. The club believes in the holistic development of students and besides seeking excellence in technical skills we also engage in giving tech-talks and conducting technical sessions which are open to all the students.
CODE GAMES
Code Games is one of the most successful events of DeCoders Programming club. Commenced only in the last year, it has still managed to become of the most popular tech events in SIT. Inspired by Squid Games, Code Games includes 8 unique and interesting competitions in total, spread between 6 days. This series of both technical and non- technical competitions help the students to enhance their coding and problem-solving skills in a competitive sphere and also develop team work. Last year saw a crowd of more than 700 people taking part in the event. The winners also get the chance to win exciting cash prizes and goodies
Reverse Coding is one of the contests organised by DeCoders for the last several years. The participants are expected to come up with a solution to a problem where no problem statement is given, they have to analyse the outputs against various inputs from an executable file. The contest is majorly done with the idea of checking the logic-building skills of the participants

Bug Bounty is another one of the tech events in Code Games, where programmers are given buggy source code in different languages like C and C++ and are asked to fix the syntax as well as logical errors, compile it and run it successfully. This enables the participants to check not only their problem solving skills but also their basic knowledge of these coding languages.
DevCon is where programmers are tested for their development skills like implementating form validation and integrating basic API features to the application. To provide an authentic development experience, googling is allowed. This contest aims at instilling development skills to motivate the students to branch out from coding and create running applications as well

Code Conqueror is an intense but thrilling contest where the participants are tested for their knowledge of core CSE subjects, recent technological trends and mainly their Data Structure and Algorithms skills through competitive coding. In a team of two, participants compete to solve high level complex coding problems and win exciting cash prizes and goodies.
Blind Coding is another one of the Code games competitions which is for the participants to have fun with coding. The programmer works on code without running it until completion. The catch in this game is that the monitors are off and they are asked to code without seeing what they are writing. Participants have fun with the silly mistakes making this one of the most popular contest of the series

Insta_Fun is an interesting way of engaging the students online on the social media platform. Last Code Games saw insta_fun in the form of Meme War where the students created hilarious memes on the engineering theme and had a great time with it from the comforts of their own spaces
Having realised how much gaming helps students in teamwork, critical thinking and quick response, Valorant gaming competition is oragnised for the interested students to meet with fellow gamers in the college and have fun in a competitive sphere. Exciting cash prizes are awarded to the winning teams
